The IAIP Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization and contributions are tax-deductible. Link here. Be sure to note which Association - your local or state - your donation is for so it will receive credit. You can take the tax deduction but the association will get credit towards the goal for it. |
In 1938, a small group of insurance women in Denver formed an organization for Insurance education purposes.
Two of the toughest challenges facing those women in those first years were soliciting members and convincing employers that the association's purpose was truly educational not a cover for union activities. The result of this organization was the formation of the
National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW), now known as the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP).
The North Carolina Association of Insurance Professionals is the state council of IAIP comprised of Agents, Agencies, Companies and Insurance Affiliated Organizations throughout North Carolina.
The International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) serves its members by providing professional education, an environment in which to build business alliances and the opportunity to make connections with people of differing career paths and levels of experience in the Insurance industry.
IAIP fosters and encourages diversity, offering a network for members in all career categories, all lines of insurance and all cultural and experiential backgrounds. NAIW promotes mentoring, education, personal and professional growth.
IAIP has an active membership of over 11,000 nationally, representing every facet of the Insurance industry including property/casualty, life, health, disability, risk management, insurance benefits and insurance educators. It's membership spans the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, England, Virgin Islands, Australia and Africa. The North Carolina Council has 10 local associations with over 250 members statewide.
